A group of cheerleaders performing a stunt on a track at a football field during daylight. Three cheerleaders are standing on the hands of their teammates, raising their fists in the air. They are dressed in uniform black and yellow outfits with white long-sleeve shirts underneath. Multiple other cheerleaders are smiling and walking in the background, with a football goal post and a scoreboard showing the game score and time in the distance.

Placement & Cuts

We truly aim to find a place for every athlete. However, placement is based on meeting the technical requirements for each level.

If an athlete does not meet minimum benchmarks, they may be encouraged to:

  • Continue building skills

  • Return for Winter tryouts

Our Standard

Cheer is NOT an activity. It’s a SPORT. We train and compete with the same physical demands, discipline, and competitive standards as every varsity sport at SLOHS.

We expect commitment—from athletes and parents—at that level.
